For my final model, I modeled the change in industry over time at the Press St. industrial corridor. I did this threw a layering of years in a ‘book’ style wooden box. My goal was to show how the industry in that corridor grew from the time the railway was built up until now. There was a drastic growth in industry from 1890 to approximately 1975. Present day industry in the area has decreased. Most of the wharfs have basically disappeared, some industrial buildings have been tore down, and others sit vacant. I included pictures, text, and diagrams for each year (1890-1945-1975-2005) to give a greater understanding of how the area operated each respective year.
