Moonlight on the Water

The light from a setting crecent moon reflected in the waters at Jackson Bottom. In the long exposure the moons movement blurred any detail (and burned in a bright yellow smudge), the image is a composite of the long exposure for the reflection and night landscape, and another short one for the sharper moon. This is why the reflection looks so bright compared with the moon. Not very realistic but I like it and it's close to the actual experience seen with the eye.

The horizontal streak of lights are cars on Oregon 219 just south of Hillsboro. The light way up near the crest of the shadowy Coast Range is a mystery.
